Huawei cabinet side pod

Is anyone aware of a side pod for the Huawei 96/128 FTTC cabinets?

About 6 months ago a second Huawei 96/128 FTTC cabinet was installed which surprised me because it is a relatively small village.

The about 2 months ago they replace the PCP cabinet, no big surprise because the previous one was pretty beat up.

Then about a week ago I noticed that there is a side pod (right hand side of cabinet) on the original FTTC cabinet. It doesn't touch the ground and is about 30cm wide. I'll get a picture at the weekend.

Is this just to provide more capacity, I could seen any references to this setup online?

It does highlight the large percentage take up rate. Our village can't have more than 500 houses (the entire exchange only serves under 800 lines according to SamKnows) and it has 4 Huawei 96/128 FTTC cabinets, one with the side pod.

Maybe this will make the BT bean counters choose our village for gfast or fttp... well I can live in hope
