Do you have a phone plugged into the extension socket?

I don't Batboy which I don't know if it being unterminated is not a good thing or if the connection to that extension socket via the other rooms NTE5 does away with any issues? (ie as it is an NTE5 and you'd think slave wiring/connection was more accomodated for).

Assuming that the extension socket is connected to the unfiltered side of the NTE5 then a phone in the extension would also be unfiltered, which would be bad for the DSL.

On the other hand, if the extension is connected to the filtered side of the NTE5 then the DSL won't work from the extension.

With your product upgrade the Openreach DLM may have been reset. So don't mess for the rest of the day it was changed, and a full 24 hours after. So on the third day it should be in normal running mode. (You may even be at that stage as you didn't give dates smile).

See how the stats look at that time and if still top speed then I would just take the router to the extension and check how things look.

What kit are you using? If you can't see the sync, then a BT Wholesale Performance Test followed by its Further Diagnostics at the bottom of the page will give us the IP Profile. We can calculate the sync within a few bps from that.

The sync from the modem would be better of course.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - AAISP Home::1 80/20. Sync 56203/14254Kbps @ 600m. BQMs - IPv4 & IPv6

Thanks for the feedback. I guess it would be down to the BT engineer on the day or if they follow a connection protocol that they stick to fairly rigidly.

Thanks for the Feedback RobertoS.

Yes, upgrade was a couple of days ago and the router I'm using at the moment and whilst the upgrade was pending is Plusnet's own (ie the BT home hub type combined modem/router).

Stats copied from router :
Downstream: 80 Mbps
Upstream: 20 Mbps

Previously my 40/2 product was almost reflected (99.9%) in the sync rates.
