Hi there.
I'm on an exchange only line connected to the Whitwell exchange (SMWTW). Fibre is being delivered as part of the BDUK project which according to the connected counties website will be available this September. The openreach checker shows me being in the 'in-scope' phase with the technology section showing 'Pending - EO Line'.
The whole village (500+ houses) are all connected through EO lines -there are no green cabinets at all. I live about 250m from the exchange. As far as I understand the options are to provide FTTP, or more likely, to install new cabinets near the exchange, rewire the exchange to the cabinet and then provide the usual FTTC connection.
The connected counties website and twitter feed don't really provide much information other than high level statements and overall they seem very poor at communicating what is going on.
If fibre is to be delivered in the next six months when do you think the openreach status should update and we actually start seeing some work done on the exchange?
Thanks in advance!
