PCP set on fire.

We have a idiot in Bath setting a PCP on fire, hopefully it's a isolated incident, & not some new craze.
Some 1,600 lines - which provide internet and phone connections - were affected.

Very sad indeed. Hope it's all back up and running ASAP , and not the onset of some dumb fad.

On the bright side, hopefully it will be rebuilt from scratch with new wiring etc - with better speeds etc. One can hope!

Feel sorry for the guys trying to sort that out ! Also the end users who now have no phone / BB . What do the fools you do this get out of it ? Just a shame they dont get the bill for it.

Going to take another week before everyone is reconnected.

Pretty ludicrous! I'd never do anything like this even if it was the only way to get a new line!

Sadly, this may not be the case. My local PCP has just been replaced with a new cabinet. My max attainable speed has dropped by 5Mbps - I suspect that may be down to a change in crosstalk. No doubt there will be winners and losers.
