But why? Is it addition another cabinet or replaced? What going to happen to my currently fibre?

Newer cabinets have better blocks in them that don't need a crimping tool, are neater and allow for more cable blocks in them.

Anything to reduce slapdash work by Kelly's has to be a good thing?

The plastic on the new connectors does appear from the video to be softer. I wonder if they'll be as robust or as easy to slide in/out on a cold January morning.
