Attenuation reported by modems/routers isn't the same attenuation BT use, the modem uses an average over a range of received frequencies so can vary in the reporting.

The difference could be vectoring if you have that now (some BDUK funded cabs get it), or one or more cross-talkers have gone, don't forget we are in peak holiday season now, so that isn't as unlikely as it sounds where people go away and turn everything off. You'll know in a couple of weeks!

There could be a fault at the cab where a line card has gone and dozens of people have dropped their connection, reducing cross-talk considerably.

Has the power tx/rtx power levels changed? The modems might have decided to up the power levels for some reason, making your signal louder against the noise so you get a higher signal to noise ratio.

I'm thinking a noise issue nearby, maybe some local construction or major fault in the area....

Keep monitoring, unless it has a large impact on connection I wouldn't worry to much.

Seems another user on Kitz had a jump in their max attianable and it looks as though vectoring has been enabled on their cabinet.

yep and someone has beat me here to the command so lets see what max reports.

ECI people gonna go mental if hauwei now also got vectoring.

Some selected BDUK Huawei cabs have vectoring enabled to meet some "superfast" targets to further away premises. It's likely related, or, Openreach are doing some wider, unheard of testing.
