The upcoming Openreach system releases are a fairly good sign that we're quite near a commercial launch.

BT tend to refer things by their financial calendar rather than the actual calendar.

Openreach haven't published anything to ISPs yet beyond technical details.

My understanding is that a commercial launch will coincide with a larger nationwide pilot of Single Order G.Fast.

I'm 99.99% sure I've seen one in a very "average" street in Shotley, in Suffolk.

Probably mistaken it for something else

Saw my first real life one in Gosforth that last week on Cabinet 1.

I know Gosforth was one of the original test locations but as far as I know that was all done with chamber equipment.

What I saw at the weekend was the standard vented side pod on the cabinet.

Just saw a comment on ISP review that said they noticed that their cab was not accepting orders during the time the works was ongoing to install the g.fast cabinet

Let's just wait and see witchunt. I mean, I do know the difference between that and "something else", and to give me credit, I did say that I wasn't 100% sure. If it's just a PCP extension pod then I'll clarify that here, and then we'll know, won't we?
