I think it's a mistake by the CP's to be honest. They just place a new order for a FTTP circuit on an existing ONT, which I assume will get assigned to the next spare port.

Oops ! In my original Posting, "modems" should have been "routers" of course. Sorry about that.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I think that, apart from a bit of pontificating, no-one really seems to know quite what happens. Surely there must be someone out there who has gone through this process ??

I cannot see any reason not to accept that what Zen says will happen will happen.

Well, Wed 22 Nov is activation day, so we will see. If I get it to work OK, I will try and check this business of using the LAN2 port and whether the other service with BT still works.
