I have a Draytek 2860n and I would like to use that when we go live with Zen FTTP. I can't find a setup guide so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful.

Essential that you load the latest firmware: 3.8.5_BT

The latest firmware is useful from a security and functionality point of view but there's no need to use BT specific firmware for FTTP connections.

I don't think I've even tried the Fritz!Box router that came with the Zen connection for FTTP. I'm using a Watchguard firewall with the external interface set to authenticate with PPPoE. It works with DHCP or with static IP address explicitly set on the firewall. I've got a range of static IP addresses and can happily route to them as expected.

I'll be playing with IPv6 next week and will let you know how I get on.

I think thats a sound idea. Ill be interested in hearing what settings you finally use for the Draytek.

Went live yesterday. Initially I setup the connection with the Fritz!box, which I can now use as a spare if needed.

The settings I used for the Draytek are:
Under WAN2 - PPPoE - User name and password in ISP Access Setup and the fixed IP Address in IP Address Assignment.

I'm glad to hear it's all working without any trouble. I didn't think it would be too difficult.

Enjoy smile
