Looks like DLM did its thing again at 10:43 this morning and now the connection speed is 75/20 and the SNR margins are 3.3/7.5 and the interleave depth remains at 8.
The average error rate for the 17th to 18:34 is

CRC erors per hour: 29.4 Down, 1.72 Up
FEC erors per hour: 625 Down, 10.4 Up
HEC erors per hour: 0 Down, 0 Up
ES per hour: 0.54 Down, 1.51 Up

Hi,
I got up this morning to find the router was not connected to the internet i rebooted and it looked to be working fine however we were streaming catch up TV earlier and my PC was realy slow i ran a speed test over Ethernet and got this result, i also tested with my phone and got a similar result using Wi-fi i have checked the modem settings and the link rate is showing 9996/8226 (my link rate used to be 39999 and 9995 Kbps) could someone explain what is likely to be causing this.
Update to problem i had above -
Openreach have been and they changed a very old and badly corroded master socket which was the cause of the problem.

Not too happy with teh down load graph though - congestion maybe. Can you try again at say 23:00 or midnight and see if it improves.

How long does the DLM take to up the sync to what it should be.?
The reason for the question is that the power was down [switched off by contractors putting in a new boiler & radiators] at that time the DLM knocked 4mbps of off 74mbps.
Today I had smart meters fitted and the power was off for another 30mins and now my sync is 69mbps , so a total of 5mbps lost because of the DLM..

The TT speed test gives me 37 Mbps and Sam knows 35 Mbps i like to use the TBB test as it shows the burst and average speed not the highest as the others do.

That's not how DLM works.
It shouldn't change your sync just because the modem is powered down.
What's more likely is while you have been connected over the previous days other lines on the cabinet have signed up to FTTC.
This causes interference/crosstalk which can reduce your lines potential sync (known as max attainable)
The next time you resync after this it would be at the new lower attainable.
DLM can take action that can reduce your sync, but a modem being turned off once for 30 mins should not cause this.
Some stats from your modem would help.

The older graph is much "nicer" - may not be smooth but much more consistent.

I cannot agree with that , because I do not have a single modem/router my modem is separate from the router [the router is turned off every night] , but the modem stays on.
I have the very first modem that BT/OR issued and up until the first modem disconnect my sync was 74mbps , it is now only 68mbps because if the MODEM looses power for any reason the DLM classes that as a line interrupt and lowers the sync.
I cannot give any modem stats as only the latest combined modem/router can do that.?
