G.Fast pod question

Hi

From all the pics i've seen of a G.Fast pod all seem to be an extension unit on the right side of a PCP cab. However in my case where my PCP currently stands, there is a driveway access point for a residential customer immediately to the right of the PCP cab, so how would BT go about installing the G.Fast pod? Would they instead add it on to the left side of a PCP cab? (where there is ample of space)

That's interesting thanks for that! However what if the PCP cab has an extension for extra lines ... can there be a G.Fast pod extension on top of an extension?

No, has to go on the other side.

Hmm, what if it's physically not possible to make it go on the other side? (as theres a residential driveway which prevents anything from being extended on to it) Would BT physically shift the whole PCP cab including the extra line extension a meter left to generate extra space?

Probably not. Might well not reach the commercial criteria. Reshelling a PCP is one thing, moving one alongside a stand-off shell is another level.

I would guess the cabinet was in place first though.

Don't worry that's not even a garage, let alone a driveway

Plenty more cabinets where they can fit the pod with no hassle
