What is counted as a "migration"?
Is ADSL > FTTC not a migration?

Today IS a Bank Holiday Bob ? Nope. Yes? Nope . (It is in Scotland).
Second edit! It gets messy. Reliable sources contradict each other. I'm now looking for the legislation.
I know it is treated as one, but it may simply be a "public holiday".

What is counted as a "migration"?
Is ADSL > FTTC not a migration? Not if with the same ISP, though the ISP itself may migrate the backhaul. (The latter is not a migration within the Ofcom regulations). It is just a product upgrade. Like ADSL to ADSL2+ is/was.

Interesting, thanks.
Although I assume the FTTC upgrade job needs to be assigned to an OR engineer, so perhaps they're just fully booked hence why it's the 13th as opposed to a sooner date? Especially with all these bank (not bank?) holidays

By the way, Good Friday has always been a Bank Holiday, as long as I can remember (a long time!). See the government's own web site:
UK Bank Holidays
Look down the page for past Bank Holidays!

You can call it whatever you like, however in law it is not a Bank Holiday in England they are precisely defined. It is a common law public holiday (for want of a better phrase) when business was not transacted. Similarly, from the religious side, Christmas day is not a Bank Holiday either.
The website you link to in incorrect. England has just five Bank holidays every year.

As MHC says, it is a Public Holiday. Not a Bank Holiday.
See the list and link to the law it is copied from in this post.
As shown in the list, if you live in Scotland then it is a Bank Holiday. Not in England, Wales and NI.

Marks and Spencers Food Store here was, until 8pm. I arrived at 6.10pm expecting it to be closed. There were three customers in, including myself, where normally it is 30+ at that time. The staff were really cheesed off!
They will be closed on Sunday.
