It has become very much 'soup de jour' with Openreach ATM ..... so fingers crossed.

They recently did this at Ordhead and I wondered if it might be related to FTTP but I'm pretty sure they already installed fibre ducting between Sauchen and Millbank so not sure if its related or not.

KN Group are installing FTTP between Dunecht and Skene this week so there are FTTP teams in the area. Also noticed other KN vans sitting at Sauchen exchange too.

The status on my line changed to in scope in Sept. last year but still no sign of anything happening. You can see the thread about it here http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fibre/f/4564133-any...

How frustrating! We've seen the works carried out last year. But we were told that it was just going to be FTTC and that it would go live this July (ish) and we're all too far away to see anything classed as superfast. I did query the nodes and cabling installed beyond the cabinet, but was told we weren't in any roll out and now here we are. So fingers crossed most of the work has actually taken place and the FTTP will go live with the cabinet (touch wood!)

I find the lack of information the most frustrating,it seems to be a big secret about what and when anything may happen.Somebody must know the plans so what is wrong with giving interested parties updates ? I don`t mean a running commentary but just a rough outline of any planned upgrades. I did email OR and after 2 weeks got a reply to basically say "keep an eye on the checker."

Similarly in the Rhynie area although I only get access to a full 80Mbps FTTC!

Acquaintances out on te Cabrach are still stuck with ADSL though and the chance of them getting FTTC or FTTP at an affordable price is pretty minimal.

... , as I might order a 4G sim in the meantime (it's that dire here!)

4G ! When I am up there, all I seem to get is 2G and occasionally 3G and there are so many black spots with each provider it is impossible to make a long call whilst being driven!
