As you've changed over to BT, is there any reason why you're not using the BT supplied router? It would rule out an issue with the router if you use the BT supplied one.

The OP said they have left BT, not joined BT.

My BT box connects via Dlink Homeplugs on TT.
Have you connected flex500 to another item, such as TV. to check.

Multicast is irrelevant here. Only the subscription channels are Multicast and they can only be subscribed to with compatible ISP's.
They don't even show up unless you are with 1 of these ISP's.

All the On Demand players are Unicast and should work regardless of ISP.

Surely it can't be too difficult to move the Youview next to the router for 5 mins to rule out the Powerline adapters?
I'd be surprised if the On Demand players didn't work with Hyperoptic.

Have you tried the Youview Community Forums?

That is a very good point and something I looked into early on when it wouldn't connect automatically.I was curious whether these details would be the same while using a Hyperoptic router and I found out they weren't after I used an app called WiFi Analyser(Must admit I wasn't too surprised about this.),so I changed the settings on the Youview box accordingly, but still nothing worked.I suppose the question is whether doing that was the correct thing to do ,or if it was but the problem is elsewhere .

I haven't tried connecting that another item yet.Having a disability is making it slightly difficult to reach all these things ,but a solution round that should be forthcoming soon. Its interesting read what arrangements others use to connect up their boxes though.

I will when I can get someone to give me a hand to move all this.I'm beginning to become even more certain than before that the flex is incompatible with all the equipment considering everything I have tried so far.

Have you tried performing a reset on the BT Flex Extenders?

If your extenders stop working or become unpaired, you can reset them by following these steps:

Make sure the extenders are plugged in and the power socket is switched on
On each extender press and hold the 'Link' button for more than 15 seconds and release. Wait a couple of minutes and the 'Power' indicator on both will light up
They should now be working correctly
