FTTC Speed Dropped

[link to this post]

Hi.

My Internet was having a few issues earlier today, pages would load, then they wouldn't etc.
So I decided to restart my modem, pfSense firewall and switches. Since then my speed has dropped from around 74Mbit/s to 63Mbit/s

I am using a pfSense firewall (in use 4 weeks) and this is the first time it has been rebooted.. As far as I can tell nothing seems wrong with it. I do have the old pfSense box and I could swap back to test with that.. but I wondered if anyone had any other ideas first.

My ISP have advised I wait 24 hours and if the speed doesn't increase, power off for 30 minutes and try again.

xdskcmd shows:

When you say your speed has dropped from 74Mbps to 63Mbps, what speed are you referring to? Would it be a speed test result?

Sorry I should have been clearer.
Yes it's Speedtest results that are showing the drop in speed.

Thanks

Maybe your speed reduction is due to contention on the back haul from your exchange to your ISP. Likely to be worse in the evening and nothing to do with anything that you have done.
