Broadband Availability Checker

[link to this post]

I have had an 80/20 FTTC connection for 4 months. Looking at the BT Broadband Availability Checker, I note that it has changed. What exactly do these dates mean:

WBC FTTC Availability Date - 15 Jan 19 VDSL Range A and B)

FTTPoD - 15 Jan 19

VDSL Multicast - 15 Jan 19

I can only guess that this relates to extra capacity as the local cabinet is no supporting 3 local (small) new build sites.

WBC FTTC = Fibre to the premises (FTTP). What's your telephone exchange?

ISP: PlusNet: Downstream rate = 79999 Kbps - Upstream rate = 19999 Kbps. Ping: 11ms.
Line Stats: Line attenuation Down: 7.8db Up: 8.7db

Stechford (CMSTE) Cab 24 - Funded Privately (Community Partnership).

Birmingham Fibre First Program: FTTP (CBT) installed on poles.

No: FTTC = Fibre To The Cabinet. The reference to "VDSL" is additional confirmation of this.

But why it says coming available next year, when it's already in service, I don't know. Can you provide a screenshot, minus address/phone number? It's not just SOGEA available next year?

As the OP said, maybe the existing cabinet is full. Or it could just be a database error.

It usually means it's currently full/at capacity and the date is when capacity will be added

Sorry I mis-read. LOL.
