I can't see any hope of FTTP or IPv6 when Plusnet can't even get their billing system working!

My tuppence...

BT Consumer, all singing all dancing, FTTP and G.fast
EE - younger mobile customers who want broadband at home too
PlusNet - brand to face off against TalkTalk pricing, i.e. budget so will be some time before the really fast options appear

So an 8 year trial which finished in July, and here we are over 4 months later and they still don't have an FTTP product........... Typical Plusnet

Quite, and they won't release any information as to if they will support a commercial fttp product, which i find slightly bizarre, I believe its down to training but that why you have a trail...

FTTP and pn is crazy atm

I don't see what's crazy about it really.
They had a trial with a view to "trying" a product. They have decided not to offer that product right now.

It's not that they have taken over 4 months to launch the product.
It's that they have chosen not to sell that service at all at this moment in time.

An 8 year trial, now that's crazy. The thread announcing the closure of the trial also suggested they may be releasing an FTTP product, and let's face it they need to at some point in the future as more FTTP is deployed or there will be an ever increasing proportion of potential customers they can't sell to.

I was with PN for 15 years, everything was extremely slow to evolve.
