Hi Kitcat,
The problem was resolved yesterday, the engineer assigned to my fault showed up this morning 24 hours late but no longer required fortunately!
I spoke to BT this morning and the notes they had from OR regarding the fault were complete rubbish and absolutely nothing to do with the actual problem, so either the notes got mixed up or something else was going on.
Very frustrating as I really would like to know what the actual problem was.
