Ultrafast is one of the options from Zen when I check using my postcode and phone number. I think I'll give them a call to see what's going on. Thanks

Have not found any fast, only finding FTTP on that exchange so if they are saying you can order ultrafast then your property has the option

Seems like they've taken a step back. The Openreach checker has gone back to showing only FTTC and the BT ADSL checker only shows FTTPoD as being available.
EDIT - I've done a postcode check for my direct next door neighbour and it shows that they can still order FTTP!

So as of this morning the BT Checker is showing WBC FTTP is available for my address. BT are showing that Ultrafast isn't available but Superfast Fibre 4 Plus with download speeds up to 330Mb is. Isn't that Ultrafast?

You should really be seeing this for BT's 330/50 FTTP service:

However if you're seeing 'Superfast Fibre 4 Plus' instead then it may be the same as the above, ie also FTTP 330/50. I think they no longer sell their old Infinity 4 product which was FTTP 330/30.

You're not the first one to ask this question:
https://community.bt.com/t5/Bills-Packages/Superfast...
The BT answer, as far as I can understand it, says that both packages are 300M, but only Ultrafast has a 100M speed guarantee. (Why??)

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

If you never think of anything off the wall, you'll never think of anything original.

Possibly areas served by ECI exchange equipment?
100Mb guarantee when stuck on 1Gb cable links wouldn't be the best policy.

True, but there was a time last year when BT were selling both infinity 4 (fttp 330/30) and Ultrafast Fibre 2 (fttp 330/50) at the same time and if you were unlucky you got the former rather than the latter. Thankfully they sorted this out (it was causing confusion) and they no longer offer the 30 Meg upload variant unless youre already on an old service.

Ah interesting. That could be why the poster in the BT forum thread said they were told they'd only get an average speed of 238M, despite being on fibre.
Since Ofcom define ultrafast as 300M+, does that mean BT can't brand this service as Ultrafast, hence Superfast Fibre 4?
No... that doesn't add up. BT sell G.fast as "Ultrafast Fibre Plus", even for people who get speeds well under 300M.
