Re: Interleaved after service change - normal?

In reply to a post by oldskool:
Well its been 2 weeks since I switched from BT to PN and was immediately interleaved.

Not one resync by DLM or me.

Perhaps I should restart the modem. Doesnt look like DLM is acting at all. No idea whats gone wrong
You'd be better to just leave it alone. It took over two months before mine recovered. And that's a line that was rock steady for years before and has been rock steady for years since.

Restarting the modem will never, ever make DLM make a positive change on your line.
It sees a resync as a negative, instability.

When you are capped at 55Mb your line runs much more stable, lower FEC, ES, higher SNRM.

Personally I had to cap my line to a lower sync speed for a few days to get DLM to move my line to fastpath. I'm not familiar with the TP-Links and if they are able to apply a temporary cap on the sync speed.

There are MANY threads on kitz with members having to cap their line to get DLM to nudge them to fastpath.

Tried to stay quite patient but its been over a month now since i switched to PN

DLM still hasn't performed even 1 resync.

Unfortunately our electricity tripped yesterday. I decided to switch off the router incase it kept tripping, which it did.

Anyway, after i sorted the problem, i turned everything back on and the modem still synced at a lower speed than my old infinity 1 (which was 55Mbps maxed out) - i'm still at 51Mbps and i'm interleaved still. No errors logged and line is stable.

What should i do, i should be syncing closer to 60Mbps.

The only thing I know that works to remove interleaving is capping the line.
I was interleaved for 9 months. A few days after applying a cap the line switched to fastpath.

Applying a cap requires a Broadcom modem with access to the Broadcom CLI to set a cap on the sync, or a Lantiq modem with the ability to instead the target SNRM.

The main sticky on the kitz fibre forum is for exactly this problem, which many on ECI cabinets are stuck with.
