Strange speed est result.

[link to this post]

I a on a capped Talk Talk FTTC package and i think its capped at 38 Mbps i tested using the TBB speed teats moments ago and got this, is the test wrong or has my speed really increased?

Hoping its the latter.

Edit to add - its down to 37.1 Mbps now but that is a lot higher than the speed i normally see.

Looks like just a dodgy speed test. Line is capped at 40/10

Do you get the same results on another device?

No I only have this PC connected using Ethernet, my last test a moment ago showed 36 Mbps which is close to the 35 Mbps i usually get so looks like it was a dodgy test result, thanks for your help.

Dodgy result as you can tell from the shape, i.e. no samples for a second or two and then data arrived, so something stalled - the tester reports faithfully what the software sees

Symptons in day to day browsing from this shape of graph is a pause after clicking a new page and then loading as normal.
