Hmm, I wonder why they can't offer the speed guarantee?

This is the option I have to order:

And this is what the BT checker says:

Does that indicate Huawei equipment?

What Ofcom call ultrafast does not affect what providers can call ultrafast

Ive got no idea why they dont offer the 100 Mbps guarantee but I wouldnt worry too much, as it still appears to be the same 330/50 product. Youre definitely on Huawei gpon infrastructure as your line can support up to 1 Gig though the higher half gig and 1 gig services are in very limited areas at present.

I should also add: 100 Mbps speed guarantee or not, if your speeds fall considerably during peak times (say down to 150 Mbps on the 330/50 service) then BT may put you on a different virtual path at the exchange (SVLAN) after you've gone through the usual troubleshooting steps. This has already happened with 1 or 2 other users on Bt Retail though its a long (and often painful!) path. Example here.

Thanks everyone. At least I'm a step closer now there are FTTP products available to order!

I'll try give the BT Fibre number a call later to see what they have to say.

After a placing a few orders that got cancelled for unknown reasons I've got a live order for Ultrafast 2 with the installation booked for the beginning of next week! I received an email saying an engineer will do a survey at the house a week before but as far as I know this hasn't happened yet. Should I be worried? As far as I know it's a 1 stage installation.

That's standard even for 1-stage I think - the Openreach guys have a quick glance to check everything will be routine for the engineer installing. At my place they were only there for 5 minutes so no idea what they looked at.
