FTTP in Postcode but not house

I'm looking at moving to a house in the HP30NL postcode area. This is currently served by a EO line but Connected counties shows FTTP in scope for roughly 2/3 of the properties in that post code area - including one that looks near by (50m) - but alas the house in interested in shows 'Exploring Solutions'

I can't get much solid information as to whether the remainder of the properties will be covered or if the plans are subject to change. Is there any way of finding out more information?

In scope - so not actually available to order yet?

Even for those that are in scope, never ever assume it will appear as places can fall out of scope or may be some years away from going live.

Yes - the Connected Counties website shows 'In Scope' so not yet available.

I did email them but replies were all very vague and non committal except to say work is due to be done in June. No specifics on properties passed.

I'm guessing even if the specific property i'm looking at doesn't get it - having it right next door puts me in a better position to try and get it later on?

Maybe - if willing to commit to a property on maybe then fine, but general advise is only buy based on facts rather than may happen down the line

In my opinion no it doesn't.

There's no guarantee they will even install FTTP to those in scope.
Even if they do it's very common for them to do a bunch of FTTP then install an FTTC cabinet for the rest who were missed.

If FTTP is important to you then I suggest you wait or look elsewhere.

Thanks for your reply - I'm not specifically after FTTP, FTTC would be OK. We are going with the house regardless I'm just trying to get an idea on how long I'll be on ADSL2+ for.

The 10Mbps we are estimated to get is fairly usable it's just the 1Mbps upload that I can see being an issue!

Now I've had a good look around the area it seems like the property immediately next door does have this available.

It looks like 3/4 properties have been missed off the end of the line. Speaking to the farmer who owns the land it seems that Openreach were unaware there were further properties down the track (it's currently a dirt track) and that he has offered to dig a trench for the ducting across land but had no response (this is all second hand information so pinch of salt)

Is there anyone other than connected counties that I could chase this up with? There can't be more than 40 m pole to pole in it. See photo
