The MTU depends on the ISP.

Set it to 1500 if Sky or Talktalk.
1492 for everyone else as they use PPPoE which uses 8 bytes.
The Zyxel should only offer 1492 automatically if you set PPPoE.

The days of having to manually tweak MTU for different sites or OS compatibility are long gone.
