Sounds like par for the course with BTnet. They're not the most dynamic or customer focussed bunch. Recall that BTnet were tasked with BT's initial ADSL offering, which was plagued with problems.

Ah. It's the name of a product I'm referring to, not a team within the company.

BTnet is not a product - it's the bit of BT that does network connectivity for businesses. It has traditionally been a vendor of leased lines. I'm not sure how closely they work with the business broadband folks, but they were separate when I was dealing with BTnet, although that was more than 10 years ago.

You might want to tell BT that. They seem to be quite happy calling their leased lines BTnet and BTnet Express.

They also don't seem aware they have a a BTnet division. The group is compromised of Consumer, Enterprise, Global, Technology and Openreach. Openreach provide access network, Technology provide and operate the core network and Enterprise sell the solutions.

http://www.bt.net/ seems to link to Global for the international stuff and Enterprise for the UK leased line business.

They must have reorganised, and reused the BTnet name for a product then. The products they call BTnet are leased lines, which is what BTnet used to sell/manage.
