I watched them install my neighbours line yesterday (despite it being on a bank holiday).

Except it wasn't a bank holiday yesterday. The bank holiday has been moved to this coming Friday to coincide with VE day. wink

I did not know this, is this definitely confirmed?
Are they taking new FTTP orders still online? When I searched again yesterday for BT FTTP it was only giving me ADSL speeds as an option but presumed that was due to COVID.

BT took the decision to stop accepting FTTP orders if an engineer is required to enter the property.

You can still order with other providers.
Openreach will take the order from other ISP's with the install to be done after 1st June.

hence my earlier suggestion that you might be better off phoning to place the order.

The OP mentions FTTP is available at the new address, but no ONT exists.

That was me referencing telephone orders. It's currently the only way to order FTTP via BT as they removed it from their website.

BT are only accepting orders with an active ONT (or were at the end of last week).
