Very interesting especially the colour code sequences, loosely reminds me of copper (e.g. blue, orange, green, brown, slate paired with white, red, black, yellow. Appreciate no pairing with fibre.)

In a data centre I've seen multi core fibre arrive in a rack and then into a splice tray, feeding 10 or more connector (SC) which we then connected to the storage HBA's in the servers.

Fibre is cool.

By the time you get down to the core that carries the light, that's 9 microns (0.009mm) in diameter - inside a 125 micron glass outer cladding.

The guts of my fibre CSP shows really well how thin the fibre strands are....as well as being colourful smile
