Data behind Ofcom availability checker

[link to this post]

Usually the Ofcom checker is fairly accurate, but where it falls down is not providing the source of the information.

I'm searching on postcode WC2N 4HE which is coming up as having a 900Mbps up/down service available in the whole postcode - but I have no idea which provider is being referred to. I've been through the London providers that I'm aware of and nothing is coming up.

Does anybody know which provider is in this part of town?

Yeah I thought G.Network might be involved because it's their patch, their site doesn't agree though. I've emailed our account manager.

Thinkbroadband maps seem to think they have pretty full or near full coverage in that area.

I saw that come up in your checker, Hyperoptic is only available at some of the addresses on the street, assuming their own website is returning accurate results.

That's amusing, I have 900Mbps BT FTTP and it says Ultrafast isn't even available here!

Well BT's 900Mb FTTP Package is called "Full Fibre" or are you referring to a business connection.

Either way we use to get that a lot with BT's Site.
