exactly. Back in 1999, the 128kbps upload I had on NTL cable modem was dramatic, compared to the 10kbps or so my line managed with a 56k modem. (the 33.6kbps modems were symmetric, 56k's were asymmetric)
But today with Zoom, Webex, etc, I moved to Virgin cable from FTTC last Nov because upload had collapsed, and I now get a good 18 to 20 mbps.
