Hello,

My brother trying to get fibre internet for his house. On the openreach website it shows it’s available to order but however, all providers and dslchecker doesn’t mention FTTC anywhere and unable to get it

I emailed openreach and got a reply that FTTC is available to order.

Even though openreach site and email says it can. Weird.

Check the neighbouring properties, are they able to get FTTC and at what speed, you may find your brother is border line on distance to cabinet.

That address has no FTTC available. Have you the equivalent for the Openreach info?

Have looked at address for property close to cabinet and same responses.

Email me [email protected] with address details and will forward as a pester to Openreach with a few words of explanation to get checkers fixed or find out why in this state.

Possibly cabinet has gone to waiting list but wrong data entered and VDSL2 options vanished as a result

He got his internet installed and got 6MBps , any update from Openreach?

Do you mean 6Mb/s or 6MB/s? Whilst 6Mb/s is slow 6MB/s is pretty good for VDSL2.
