Re: FTTP install stalled - weird delays

I agree the 'high' light level is probably 'high' number but it was negative which is really 'low'.

There's no visible light through a phone camera (usually shows up purple..) through the fibre so I think zero light.. not particularly scientific as test go though!

Almost another week gone - had confirmation today from site manager that still no contact for PTW from Openreach..

I think there's a very real possibility that we're the only premises attempting to use that CBT right now - got a feeling we're taking all the pain while Openreach gradually sorts stuff out, and the next business that orders FTTP will have a substantially quicker set up process!

As far as I know, all the other units around us (6-7 others, several rented by same company) are all on copper.. There are two 12-core cables, apparently with a total of 5 active lines (through the duct into our unit and terminated into joint boxes) that then go into a roof space and shoot off to the adjacent units.

Frequent badgering of your reseller is required who will then, hopefully pester Zen, who may then poke Openreach who will probably do nothing. It's a long and winding road to get any progress with FTTP installations.smile
