If it’s a fairly up to date smartphone it will in all likelihood offer a more sophisticated radio (eg LTE Cat 18 or 20 for the phone vs Cat 4 for the USB dongle) offering greater throughput on 4G then the USB dongle in the back of the BT Hub.

If wanting to switch to 4G broadband on the farm, what I once did and a lot of folks do, then purchase a dedicated 4G/LTE standalone router with external antenna ports and mount a directional external antenna aimed towards the nearest/strongest mast.

It’s a much better more robust long term solution.

Thanks again..

I got the router placed in a better location and again the results were so odd .. 0.3 down and 19 up. It defies me how the download speed just wont increase..
