Trooli turned me down

[link to this post]

I got a leaflet through the door a month ago telling me that Trooli was coming to town and to order now to get a cut-price upfront deal. So I did.

This morning they email to say that for technical reasons related to rights and suitability of ducts and telephone poles, they will have to decline my order.

How common is this? And what does it say about a company that offers a service but then finds it can't fulfil it?

I often get Virgin leaflets, there is no Virgin available where I live, I used to get Sky satellite offers, with a listed building in a conservation area not a hope in hell of being able to legally fit a dish.

One of the companies that ultimately became Virgin refused me becasue "your garden is too long". Then they had te check to dump a tonne of rubble from their excavations in my garden! To say I was not happy is an understatement.

We get this as well and there have never been Virgin here, very strange.
i also got one for Talk Talk fibre, sure it may be a leaflet that covers all their services, but it would confuse a lot of people thinking they can get fibre.

Also, about time providers stopped calling FTTC fibre, that confuses people as well.

To be fair. Call Flow / Trooli do roll out to a wide area and not just the best bits. They have also been in the game well before the gold rush.

However the quality / safety of their FTTP build is very poor.

Great crop this year! Had some superb ones (Kordia I think?) from Herefordshire yesterday, and some loverly ones from Kent this evening.

The next discussion will be about low hanging fruit of the Openreach FTTP rollout type smile
