Looking at the image - how do youget a 9mm screw head through an 8.4mm hole? On even worse, two at once!

Kowboy Commz needs to offer training classes; helping their installers to identify wall types and selecting suitable wall fixings, as well as a bag of different fixings for each job.

e.g. the wallplugs supplied in the ONT box are not the best choice for plasterboard / cavity / hollow / membraned walls wink

Is the housing supplied as standard these days? It seems like a good idea to me (harder to damage, less likely to be taken when property vacated) but I'm sure opinions vary...

No. They are only used on new builds.

They can be picked up for as little as £10 on eBay though, with a free Huawei ONT in the box.

A search for "HG8010h5-20" on eBay will throw up many results.

I'm looking for a Nokia G-010G-Q ONT template if anyone can provide a link to one.

I have the overall dimensions (89mm height x 82mm wide) and know the screw holes are 60mm apart using a 4mm thread with a 6-8mm screw head.

Horizontal Position 11mm-Screw-60mm-Screw-11mm

Vertical Position This is the missing info, I know the screws are not positioned centrally on the vertical (e.g. 44.5mm from top and bottom), from pics I've seen they look nearer to the top than bottom.
From the template/device links that were kindly shared here I have concluded the the two screws need to be 42mm from the top of the Nokia ONT. Anyone have a different opinion please let me know smile

I’m curious as to why you’d like to know the precise set out - are you aligning this somehow with something or is it going into joinery or an enclosure?

Perhaps it’s ahem “excess stock” from the new build scene?

As to where/who they’re being sold to - I suppose someone fancies ONTs at below cost, for their own GPON lab or network or something? 🥸
