Is it likely to be the AdTran TA401 or a modified version that closely aligns with the Nokia and Huawei dimensions as from what I have read the AdTran TA401 screw holes are 2 inches apart (their words not mine) and the fibre connection going in from the top rather than the bottom.

In reply to a post by Iniltous:
You would think only an Openreach employee who doesn’t need continued employment , would be daft enough to steal from their employer and offer the stolen items for sale.
On new builds, there are two categories of install, a standard one , where the OR tech fits the ONT and cover , the developer only installing the OR provided ‘ezibend’ cable from the ONT location to the external wall where the duct appears , and DSI , Developer Self Install , where the developer is provided with sufficient ONT and covers , for the number of plots being built, and is expected to install these as well as the ‘Ezibend’, the developer is paid more by OR for a DSI install than one where OR fit the ONT and cover.
On many occasions this DSI work isn’t done even though the developer has been paid the DSI premium, the OR tech , although only expecting to fit the external CSP do the external splice , has to fit what should have already been fitted by the developer, there is a mechanism to reclaim the DSI cost , but generally it’s not done, it’s easier for the OR tech to simply fit these items themselves , from the stock they carry on board .
The OR provided equipment that was never installed on these DSI jobs are probably those items that appear for sale , no doubt the seller being the electrician or someone within the developers organisation that should have done the DSI in the first place.

There's all sorts of clearly quite new ex-BT FTTP gear on FleaBay...

Internal white CSP

BBU wall mount enclosure for original Huawei 1+1 ONT

BT Prysmian Fibre Distribution Point

20m BT OFS EZ Bend fibre cable

I'm surprised no one has smuggled a 17-slot Huawei OLT out the door...yet wink

Openreach mentioned an Adtran user trail in one of the newsletter things about a year ago...been nothing heard on here from folks or in the press about them rolling out Adtran ONTs subsequently.

TA401 is quite an old design, and the port placement is just plain odd. As you say wouldn't fit in with the footprint of the existing Huawei or Nokia's which sensibly have all the ports on one edge. Perhaps that's why we haven't seen an Adtran ONT rolled out...?

Some may be from when BT vans are broken into, grab everything they can and run.

Almost oll of it on "unregulated" sales sites could well be stolen and nothing is done to stop the sales.

I recall you quoting a newsletter from Openreach a few months back confirming that some customers had been connected via Adtran kit but the newsletter didn't specify if it was for the OLT or ONT or both, its been some time now since the original announcement about Adtran supplying Openreach and you would have thought we would have heard from members of this forum if anyone had seen a Adtran ONT being used. It didn't seem as long before Nokia ONTs were common place after their contract announcement with Openreach.

Circling back here, following updates in the recent BT issue thread

The up to now somewhat elusive Openreach Adtran ONT (a customised SDX 611 in regulation issue white Openreach frock) has been uncovered in the wilds of Bromley 🤣 (and likely thousands of other locations)! Similar size (a touch smaller actually) to existing Openreach Huawei and Nokia 1+0 ONTs.

Near cousin of the standard issue black SDX 611 as used by Hey!Broadband amongst other AltNets too doubtless - Openreach have used their standard LED status designations rather than the standard Adtran pictograms for these indicators. Otherwise probably near enough identical under the hood.

Looks like it’s been installed from at least mid-March 2022 - from the usefully linked post on the Sky user forums, however not reflected in any recent update of the GEA-FTTP SIN. Not yet anyway.

Your link above appears to be down / dead @fibrefrolics

Did you ever update the template for the legacy ONTs and perhaps the Openreach version of the Adtran SDX611 (in white) now that they are in deployment?
