Anyhow. yes overbuild with Openreach and other AltNets in a given area is not uncommon.

If you have BeFibre available that will be the only FTTP provider you can order from until new infrastructure is installed for either Openreach or another altnet.

Indeed. For the benefit of the OP; referring to them as AltISP’s - they are in fact an alternative network first and foremost (and an ISP).

Completely separate physical infrastructure to Openreach - although they may use Openreach poles and ducts using PIA to install their cabling. Otherwise never the twain shall meet (other than in your home!)
