In reply to a post by MHC:
Getiing it removed at a later date will be awkward - my neighbour is still trying after 2 months. Even on te day of FTTP install, they refused as there was still "a working service".

that is what i'm worried about. If its a few days ahead of the existing install date, i will reschedule it for port day +1. I don't know how many days i can move it forward (i've already moved it two days from its original date)

So the install process has been moved to KCI2 Assure! All of the surrounding lanes have! Is it worth explaining to any OR bod that is potentially doing any survey for the install what i would being done and any issues?

Also the voip port has turned into a mess. Its a shame because it was tied to a dacs unit frown

That the number is being ported to a VOIP should not cause an issue really, once it’s gone, it’s gone, bye bye 👋. t

he only way that it might cause an issue is if the number going to VOIP is the B1 (bearer) of the DACS service. It means the other B2 line is going to struggle when the 50v DC eventually gets switched off , as the B2 won’t have dial tone if the exchange DACS equipment doesn’t have the 50v from the bearer .

In practice, not really an issue either, just de-share the B2 … jumper as a DEL in the exchange, disconnect and by pass the remote unit … update the records. Simple.
