I now have fibre fitted which is working great at this time. Install not as expected as fitted by a subcontractor.
Ordered off BT as I have FTTC already with them. Wanted to keep landline number so I ordered a seperate fibre connection and was going to port number ASAP. Contractor came first thing he did was disconect copper line. showed him BT order his response was all copper lines have to be taken down when fibre fitted.
He also said I would get a phone set up by him before he leaves WRONG
His company said he would set up one of my devices on new service one not set up.
He would drill hole in wall for ladder saftey and repair it when finished also not done.
Left cover on outside box with a gap all around it. No problem to fix myself.
Not sure if they clear the the drill dust after it fitted but that not done either.
Ported landline to AA then BT wanted to charge me for early termination.
Phoned BT who were brilliant sorted everything out moving me over to EE on same contract and same mobile number and at the same price and sent me a WiFi 6 EE router. I wont use this but I have it for when needed. All working great so should I be moaning? I am happy with service from BT so that's a plus for me as a few people don't like them. Customer service like I say were brilliant.
