Re: Cerberus price increases

Seems like a slightly odd time of year for an across the board price uplift. Then again maybe not.

RPI/CPI + x% annual ratcheting seems to be baked into so many agreements these days: as long as Cerberus are still keeping the price stable for the term of the agreement, then I suppose it’s fair enough. Maybe this is their way of getting ahead of the forthcoming Ofcom rule change that comes into effect in January…?

I believe that's the case: these are prices for new customers. Cerberus are still offering 12-month contracts, and if the terms are how they used to be, the prices are fixed for the whole duration of the term.

If the prices don't rise within the contract period, then I can't see there would be any impact. And if prices did rise within term, I expect they'd already display that information.

Also, I don't know if the retail price regulations apply to "business" products.

“Business” vs “Consumer” products: It’s a pretty fine line so far as Cerberus goes I think. Just prices displayed inclusive or exclusive of VAT. Pretty sure it’s identical contract terms or used to be anyway.

Nothing to do with Cerberus but I’ve discovered these egregious mid contract price rises in several business leased circuit and other agreements recently which never had them before. Appalling really.
