Hi everyone,
My address went live for orders on CityFibre's network a couple of weeks ago and I've chosen Lit Fibre as my ISP. My installation date is next Thursday.
The day after placing my order with Lit, I noticed my address was no longer showing as live on CityFibre's checker or those of their partner ISPs (Lit included). Instead the CF checker returns 'We've encountered challenges which delay us from connecting your property'.
I wanted to get ahead of any issues which might happen on installation day so I messaged Lit support. They replied that CF are currently undertaking some 'feasibility checks' to establish if my address is actually serviceable. I assume placing the order has triggered this and - based on a bit of research - put my address into a soft LoC state in the meantime. However I also assume this is not the usual process for a new fibre service as Lit support seemed surprised.
Does anyone know what these feasibility checks might entail? I'm asking out of curiosity rather than desperation, being fortunate enough to have a reliable Starlink connection if things don't work out for now.
A bit more context: This would be the first fibre service at my house and I was descoped from Openreach's build early last year (OR wouldn't say why at the time, claiming commercial sensitivity).
Thanks for your thoughts!
