He probably doesn't want 18 months contract with File Sanctuary or 12 months contract with UnchainedISP. What if his FTTP become available within next 6 months?

Didn't you suggest both in one of your original posts?

CJT.

Currently on TalkTalk Fibre 150 (G.Fast) - Moving to Aquiss FTTP 500!

Previously on NOW TV Broadband up to 38 Mbps, then BT Broadband up to 80Mbps, then Pluse8 Broadband up to 80 Mbps, then Hyperoptic 100Mbps.

I'm in AL5 (Harpenden) and have a similar situation - most streets nearby have FTTP.

However, I have been on G.fast for 2-3 years now with Sky, and although they don't show it on their website, they do still offer it to me - contract extension/renewals etc, so you might just try to give them a call and see what's possible.

The availability checker says you can get G.fast, then click the "Search for G.fast Fibre Broadband here!" and Sky *is* listed.

I have been on GFast with BT Internet for a few years now.
However, I don't believe that they are offering this service anymore for new sign-ups.

The MT992 modem has always served me well.
