FTTC Interleaving question

[link to this post]

Hey all

According to this:

On the downstream, interleaving will be set to either off/low/high. On the upstream, interleaving will be set to either off/on. (This is the same as before).

Does that mean we can request to turn it off (for the downstream)? Or only request to change it between low/high?

TIA

You can ask to have it turned it off or indeed to change its depth but most ISP's won't because it's there to stabilise your connection and is set by DLM.
Even if they could, why would they want to manually interfere with an automated system that saves them support costs and complaints.

I think I remember requesting for it to be turned off when I first got FTTC – But I'm not sure if it's off or set to 'low' ... Is there a way to differentiate between the two?

My pings to the first hop are typically around 5ms-6ms.

You should be able to find the information you seek in your router stats.

No, I'm afraid you'll have to wait and see if someone else understands this type of output.

Your line 72Mbps of target 3dB but was wondering why 6 times retrain?

6 times? It says retrain reason: 6. Does that indicate number of times or is that a code for something else?
