New user ready to ask probably the silliest "it depends" question on the forum that's probably been asked a million times but can never be found. Sorry if that's annoying.
A couple of weeks ago the ducting for new FTTP was completed and my row of houses as well as houses all around are proud 'owners' of brand new tobies sitting in front of our gardens in all their small rectangular boring glory. I'm an end house so I also get to view a nice new chamber cover too. Lucky me.
My luck continues though, as I know that this was done by... Nexfibre and so it's assumed that Virgin Media (booo?) will be enjoying residency here. 90% of the town only has FTTC, and Openreach appears to have 'revised' their plans to build here.
My "it depends" question is.. how long do you think it will be until there's an ability to order the product? My town is being covered by nexfiber sorting out their ducting and has been for the last couple of months now and they're making cracking progress. I know I shouldn't expect it any time remotely soon but I'm just curious about people's experiences with the timeframe. First person to actually say "it depends" will get a cookie, however I am genuinely curious.
Thanks in advance, everyone
