Re: Is there a theorectical max length FTTP cable pole to ho

the 350m limit is for pre made cables which is about £200 inc vat (netceed). They may have had a longer premade cable, or as you said a cbt placed closer. Or they could have hacked a cbt and did a one to one connection.. Or fused two external cables - the latter two ideas are do-able but not really in OR hand book as its a bodge job

My bet is either an out door csp or a one off cable made.

Maybe I'll get to ask him one day, unfortunately despite the house being the next one up on opposite side of road, it's not a section of road I'd normally walk along. Our house measures 211m on google maps from the CBT to the preferred position of CSP, so should be easily doable.

Hopefully you can, as it updates here as well. As much as TBB has a wide reach, and theres current/ex OR bod and other industry pros frequent here, things like that come up rarely.

And as we have more and more of the hard to reach properties being fibred up we may see some more 300m spans

When mine was fitted I had already put the ducting in from the pole but unfortunatly the 350M cable wasn't enough and fell 10M short.
So they put a CSP in the last inspection box and then ran a fibre from that to a second CSP fitted to the outside of the house.
A bit heath robinson but it has been working fine for the last two years smile

Yes, it just looks like the cable that comes down the pole from the CBT
