Are FTTP providers like buses

... nothing for years, with failed promises from OR and then I take a look at bidb.uk and it full of red dots (VM), blue dots and lines (OR), orange lines (Netomnia).

Do they all suddenly believe in my area?
Or will it all come to nothing; again!

ps. the VM codes on bidb are like 'NK128FIBREUP-MACC...' is that for proper fibre or the VM halfway house of RFoG?

They are where I live. I had FTTC with Openreach for years. I now have access to Openreach, CityFibre, and County Broadband FTTP.

The references you gave are for Virgin Media upgrading their existing cable network to XGSPON, no RFoG involved.

I wish that happened, as I would have OR FTTP by now, given there are two alt nets in my street for over 2 years.
