Moving a CSP

[link to this post]

Due to the construction a dwarf wall for a porch, I need to have the ducted fibre from the pavement CBT, and probably the CSP too, moved.

I am aware that this needs to be done by OR (via my ISP - Zen), but I wondered about the process. Will OR move the connection temporarily to allow construction of the wall and the re-attach the CSP afterwards. Or, will they re-duct from the CBT and relocate the CSP to a different area of the wall.

There is an image at CSP

I suggest that you discuss the problem with the person that comes to do the work, and make sure that you are happy with the proposed solution.

It is along where the raised brick is, but there will be a shallow foundation, which is unfortunately close where the fibre is ducted.

ok, i think the idea of moving the csp just for the work and putting it back in the smae place may incure 2x costs ....... Are the ground tiles/bricks to the left removable?

if so get them to move the csp to the left.

I am in agreement. The possible hiccup was the OP saying that the existing duct might be compromised by the work.

I’d suggest ordering a shift with associated civils and UG … get the lead in shifted, the CSP relocated, and the inside out cable rerun from ONT to CSP … as one job.

Received a letter just the other day ..
