Brad have you got the live box plugged into the main BT socket or is it on an extension? what are the distances you are from the live box? is it just wireless or has it got ports on the back for if you want to use wires?

When they were under the Freeserve banner, I had nothing but trouble with them, the main reason being was there free access, and too many people, could never get online.

Living in a village, Wanadoo were one of a very small number that would give me broadband, although it was only 512kb 18 months ago, this has now increased to 2MB. I have mixed feelings about them, service! I cannot fault it, never had a problem. Customer service if you need them! do not rate at all.

On the whole I would recommend them. My view is you get nothing for nothing! Pay for internet access you will get a better service than a free one.

My livebox is on an extension as was my previous router.
I'm approx 20 meters away from the livebox but is also serves my xbox live and 2 othe PC's in the house.
It has 2 ethernet ports so can be used as wired or wireless.

I hope you get good service from orange. I have been with them since 2002. I have never had any major problems. The livebox is alright, but it isnt the fastest router in the world.

I think that Samknows is a bit out of date.

I suspect that my exchange (Hamilton, Scotland) was unbundled around mid January (hence my transfer to LLU) and it is not mentioned on the listings.
