LiveBox and Ethernet only?

HI, just wondering if you can connect a pc to the livebox using ethernet instead of wireless? my desktop has an ethernet port but no wireless.

Yup - as far as I'm aware both ethernet ports on the Livebox are "live"

And it's their recommendation to connect via Ethernet to set it up. I'd use Ethernet myself as a preference, but as I have a wireless PC card and my PC is upstairs from the phone line, I'm sticking with wireless for now.

Yes absolutely, the livebox has two Ethernet ports
I configured my machine using ethernet only (it's easier that way), and then moved on to wireless after that.
