nightmare with moving my adsl with orange..

[link to this post]

hi,

Hope someone can help or offer some advice. I have moved address but stayed with the same number as I moved in the same town and physically in the same exchange. Anyway BT moved my number with no hassle but I am having a nightmare with orange when it comes to my adsl..

Baiscally I have been waiting 14 days and still no service. As far as I can tell the cease on the old service was fine. However it seems after orange did what ever they need to do to provide the service on to my "same" phone number its just not happening.. I understand the order has been raised 3 times and each time I am told its fine, but today I was told the order had "dropped" off.... no explanation of why just that they would raise it again...and that I would have to wait another 10 days!

very frustrated as you can imagine. Any advice appreciated.

thanks

Unfortunately no one here will be able to tell you why, unless they work for one of the responsible companies, ie Orange's partners. There's loads of reasons an order can be rejected or cancelled.

You're likely gona have to try and get a straight answer out of some one at Orange.

even more bad news today, I rang them again to check things were moving on.. anyway long short of it is that the order has been submitted again at 2mb.. I was on 8MB at my old address and bt checker shows the new line can take 8mb so I was told to call them back once they have actually recitified the failed re-provide to sort out speeds....

not impressed...
