Orange have halved my download speed

[link to this post]

Since I was having problems connecting to the 'net, accessing web sites etc.. (for about 4 weeks), they thought it would be best to half my speed. I was getting about 6.5 before all this started, and now I'm on about 3.4.

Granted, everything's more or less working perfectly now, but why would Orange halve the speed ? - why not reduce it by 1 meg or even half a meg ? - do you think it would be wise to ask them to increase the speed to what it was before ? - I know there'll be a risk of the problems re-occurring, but they could always reduce it again.

Have done the same today, requested Mac code and should be here in 3-5 working days via email. Just miffed at having to pay £100 for the livebox I no longer have to but hey at least I'll be free from Orange

Sign up to 02 via a cashback site like 'Top Cash Back', and depending on which package you select, you can get up to £125 back.

I signed up to their premium package and hopefully should receive about a £100 in return. If you do the same, it'll cover you for that missing LiveBox wink
